Visit to Fisher House: A Home Away from Home for Veterans%u2019 FamiliesOn January 29, 2025, Ward visited the Fisher House located next to the North Las Vegas Medical Center. Ward met with Stephanie Wheeler, manager for Las Vegas Fisher House, who emphasized the crucial role these homes play in providing comfort and stability for veterans%u2019 families. The Fisher House Foundation, with locations in the UK, Germany, and throughout the United States, continues to expand its mission of offering free lodging near medical centers for military and veteran families in need.(B). Visit to the North Las Vegas VA Medical CenterWard met with Michael Kiefer, Acting Executive Director for VA Southern Nevada Health Center, and Charles Ramey, Communication Director and Customer Experience Executive for VA Southern Nevada Health Care. They led her on a tour of one of the fastest-growing VA facilities in the nation, the North Las Vegas VA Medical Center.
